Man, just not sure about that mid-engine Vette. I get that it's the future, but there's something sacrilegious about that configuration in a Corvette.

Thats exactly the reason my "crowd" is into C2 and C3 Corvettes -- classic Sting Ray or Stingray ... depending on year. Those driving around in their C4 and newer see the older Corvettes and always crank their noggins around and gawk. Just sayin' ... TAZ: flag:

i love midyears..but id take a nice 69 427 4 speed...probably faster than the midyear...not talking money..talking design..

as a kid and young adult..the 68 up where all i ever noticed..just a generational thing..

now i think i like midyears because they are expensive..ive always liked solid axle cars way more than midyears...i think ive been brain washed to believe the mid years are the supreme collector vette...i just dont think so..i like them all..but i dunno anymore..ive found my own voice..i found myself and know who i amwith age..and i want a 69 or 70....dunno..just what i have determined..i guess im a weirdo..

markinnaples 05-23-2018 03:35 PM

I like most year Corvettes, but due to my age, I've always had a sweet spot for the '68-'72 steel bumper cars, esp the early BB's, which as Mark states aren't even on the same planet of value as the mid-years, but they appeal to me the most. My dream is a 1969 roadster 427/435 in Marina blue or black. I saw a movie when I was a kid about a surfer/life guard in So Cal in the 70's who had one and it was stamped into my memory.

My uncle has a original drive train '69 390HP 427 4 speed convertible. He bought it in '73 and doesn't drive it much. After it would sit for a while and wouldn't run right he would get mad and want to sell it. I could have bought it for $11000 several years ago, but didn't have the money at the time.

Crush 05-23-2018 04:54 PM

I have a buddy may be selling a 68 427/435 Vert/HT Bloomington Gold , lemans blue, blue interior.
