Nice looking ‘67 GTO.

From what I can see it has an inside rear view mirror that’s glued to the windshield, really.

Plus, the car could have been ordered (Delete Pinstripes, code 491).
If the car was ordered with the dual stripes on each side, they would be White.

PS, Hood adjustment needed.

Chris, if it had been ordered with red interior, then would the stripes have been red?

Bill,

Yes, Red interior would dictate Red pinstripes on a Black body.
This would be a gorgeous car!

All the other interior trim colors received White (Ivory) pinstripes on Black body.

The 1971 SSI wheels are once again all chrome like the 66-69 wheels only they are 14x7 and fit either brake package.

Another "Muscle Car Mystery" for Olds. Why did they go back to the original design instead of just keeping the 1970 (and 1972) version for 1971?

The most commonly known answer was the company that supplied the 14x7 wheel that used a trim ring could not keep up with demand ( possible strike). A substitute supplier was used and an all chrome wheel was available during production in Mar,April and part of May 1971. I have seen both wheels used on 1971 442 models.
