Where did you send them for rechrome, and how was the cost?

Ken, I had them done locally about 5 years ago. To be honest, I wasn't extremely happy with the job they did but the rest of the car is rough so it was ok. Seems to me that chrome from back in the day was just slightly dull, it wasn't perfect. These came out a little too wet and perfect.
Recently, the 3.5 inch Cragars that are on the Fathom Blue 68 Gibb/Harrell Nova look to me to have perfect period chrome (can't remember who owns this one. Its the one with the reverses on the back, Cragars on the front). A little dull in the centers, shiny on the outsides.
I may be totally wrong on this, just my opinion.

I never knew there was a name for what I am building. I am from Long Island and building I guess a "Day 2" 69 Camaro. Stripped down 427 4spd street race style car. Built as kind of a GM factory street racer. A lot of custom delete plates such as vents and radio.
I have been collecting parts for about a year now. The 1st was a Lakewood 3 point with the help of this board. I also have a NOS NMW Tow Bar, NOS tow tabs, NOS old style MSD 6, NOS HURST lock out for shifter, NOS old grey spoke Cragar mags, NOS Thrush mufflers and some other small stuff.

I have pics of anybody is interested PM me and I can email for you to post as I can't figure it out. Great pics of the others parts.

I look forward to somone posting your pics.

The Day 2 concept is cool for sure. Not sure if it is clearly defined. I know what it means to me. I first hear the name used on this board form Dave aka "whitetop" which you can see his post in the archives.

I don't know if he coined the phrase or not, but prior to him, I had never heard it. Was there a specific reason he left this board?

Pics emailed. Parts are all full of sanding dust as I had bright idea of doing quick block sand and destroyed my garage. They are all brand new. The tabs are not for a Camaro but I am going to make my own and use them as guide. I guess if someone can ID and needs them??? I also have like new adapters for a Mopar Lakewood 3 point.

Mine should be done by end of summer. Will have pics of all together in a couple weeks. Thanks for inspiration guys!!
