Some great shots there.

The most daunting task in automotive publishing is finding who owns the rights to a particular image. If you all remember the Oscars a couple years back, Ellen hosted and had Bradley Cooper take a selfie with a dozen stars in it. Yes it was Ellen's camera, but since Cooper snapped the shot he owns the rights.

Unless you can unequivocally prove you own the rights to an image you can not profit from it. Many times we find awesome shots for books but there's no trail tracing the history of the photo back to it's owner. :-(

I can say this though. Linda is making her private collection available for this project. There will be lots of unseen images in this book and it's all being done in partnership with Linda. Also, if you've read the Hot Rod article on her from 2012 and you liked it, you will be happy to know that Rob Kinnan is co-authoring this project with Linda.

We're inching towards the finish line on the book. What I've been able to read and see so far has been amazing! This is the dummy cover we have up on Amazon, with the final cover being an A++, never before seen image.

HAHA ... I knew someone was going to do that. The funny part about my meeting w/ her was. I was up in the muscle car lounge (sky box) and my wife went to the ladies room. So she calls me and says Linda Vaughn is down here hurry up. So I beat feet out of the tent and book it across the fairgrounds and I catch Linda leaving the ladies room and say hi Linda can I get a picture and of course she obliges. Then I say I hope you're feeling better (because she had been in the hospital then and what not) So she goes yeah I'm fine Darn fair ground food had my stomach all torn off so I had to go make things right ..... [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img] I had absolutely no come back ....

Always loved these two pics! The signatures are pretty smooth, so I'm sure they signed them before the girls put the t-shirts on.

In the photo showing the two girls facing the camera, I can see (on the other Hurst girl):

David Pearson (left breast)

While leaving Barrett Jackson on Friday I saw Linda and two other ladies arrive in a Mustang. I waited until she got out to say Hi and ask her she was doing, knowing she has had some medical battles over the past few years.
She said she was doing fine despite s recent knee injury.
Her next line floored me.
&quot; I remember you, your from Canada!&quot;
I had meet her five years ago at BJ and was invited to have dinner with some other Oldsmobile guys who had invited Linda. There were 10 of us at Nicks Italian Restaurant in Scottsdale. Other than asking me where I was from that night and some other small talk, I am amazed she remembered.
It was great to see her again.
