The damned thing is only 50 miles from you. Won't a 302 Frog run 50 miles?
And you have an enclosed trailer, REMEMBER? You can load it by yourself; it's UNLOADING that gives you the trouble! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Apparently...they REALLY SUCK!

Intercity Transport took 2 1/2 days from Niles, Il. to Phoenix Arizona to deliver my car...and they had 2 stops before they delivered my car. They called me everyday to let me know where they (and the car) were at.

They were VERY professional.

Hey Bob, don't beat around the bush...tell us how you really feel about Dependable... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif

Kim, call law enforcement NOW!!!

Re: Auto Transport

There is absolutely NO POINT WHAT-SO-EVER in Kim calling any law enforcement agency now at this point.

We know where the car is at (obviously) as I took photographs yesterday of it and posted them here on the website for all of you to view.

Where the car is at presently is in Altoona, Iowa. They have contacted Kim and made arrangements to deliver the car to him.

The car was not transported on to Kim yesterday (at his request) as it was raining.

Kim certainly HAS AN ISSUE with Dependable Auto Transport because of the time issue. That issue is not in dispute by me or anyone of the rest of us, but rest assured, Kim knows where the car is and that is why he telephoned me yesterday and had me go look at it for him.

Re: Auto Transport

All this is starting to sound like when my Beaumont was delivered from Canada. I used SeaRail for the delivery. I was originally told 2 1/2 weeks and it took over 5 weeks. It sat in the rail yard in British Columbia for a week after it was delivered to them. It was delivered 1 day before my family and I left for vacation and they didn't want to deliver it then. They asked me if I could wait another week and have a neighbor sign for the car since I wouldn't be home. I was told that they had a tracking system so I could follow it's progress. When I tried tracking the car the system didn't work so I called their office. I was told that they entered info into the system only once a week. I would never use them again.

I tell ya Kim, I would have been pissed off as well! No excuse to receive a car in that condition. What was the driver's excuse why it had 90 miles on it since it was loaded, and the reason why the wires for the trunk were cut?

Glad you finally have it in your possession. Fonzie will be happy! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Now are you going to call your lawyers??? To protect yourself I would be doing that now. Why do you ask? Because you dont know what went on during those 90 miles. Hypothetically speaking, what if the driver used it to rob a 7-11, kidnap the storeclerk, and dumped the body somewhere and he had trouble getting it out of the trunk, thats why the wires were cut? (I know I'm overreacting, but I'm a lawyer so humor me). They owe you big time for the damages they caused and the mileage on the car.

In my paranioc rant I forgot to mention: what about the yet-to-be-discovered internal engine damage you now have from their 90 mile road trip?

I know, I'm a real buzz-kill, but we all have to excel at something! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Hey Kim, Congrats, very cool car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
Go after these jerks, When they did the same to a 40 Ford coupe I bought I made them pay dearly....I cant imagine those 90 miles were put on very diligently, thats alot of miles to add to a car, picturing the Ferris Buehler scene with the 2 garage jockeys, You would have a field day in court, there is no way in hell they could justify the mileage, Go for Punitive damages and send a message to all the other jerks who feel they can go joy riding at someone elses expense, 2 grand a mile would send a nice message.. What was the private truckers name and company that das hired?...
