Re: My first day of Power Tour
Those clowns said they were gonna mess with me.

Re: My first day of Power Tour
The 8 turbos have their own dry sump oiling system with about a 3 gallon tank. I met David and Jim ? for the first time at Imagine and gotta say they seem like very straight up nice guys. I spent so much time looking at the 57 I never got to the other room to see my friend Daves Hemi convert that they are restoring. When the dust settles and the car is finished I think you will be proud to have it in your stable..Neat car.

Re: My first day of Power Tour
I think the messing with you comes into play when you take the 57 out into the sunlight the Flame Red changes into HOT PINK

Re: My first day of Power Tour
Oh geez... Charley's moved on to a "new" bel air...now I'm gonna have to check for stray french fries on the front seat next week... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Re: My first day of Power Tour
The car is VERY https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif and so is the name "Inciner8or"--
That name would look https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif pinstripped in script on the front fenders---------------Just reminiscing- https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |
Re: My first day of Power Tour
The name is scribed into the carbon fiber rear quarter cove panels. It seemed a natural name for a flame red street rod with 8 Turbos.

Re: My first day of Power Tour
That thing is rediculously cool, LV! Seeing the "in progress" photos along the way it's hard to imagine how it's all gonna come together...but now, man, it all just looks "right"...

Re: My first day of Power Tour
I see it now, -since the photo wasn't close enough it appeared to a red line---,Nice Touch---------------

Front and Rear bumper are smoke chrome painted, not chrome plated. I haven't seen it in person, but some have said it looks good with the black carbon fiber accents. You'll see in the attachment that the exhaust exits thru the louvered bullets at the corners. The trunk lid "V" chevron is frenched in and red backlighted.

smoke chrome look...Cool https://www.yenko.net/attachments/860...2-04%20016.jpg

Re: My first day of Power Tour
I had originally thought the bumper was just reflecting some bad light, but I agree with you-- Smoked chrome finish for a Hot car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif---
Also got a better look at the rear of the hood from your photo and saw the cowl opening--Is this where the heat gets exhausted by the fan?-- A lot of detailing went into this car and it shows --- |

Re: My first day of Power Tour
Now I can understand why you almost missed seeing your friends car---You could spent hours just studying the craftsmanship----NICE photos--- you made my day--

Re: My first day of Power Tour
Never saw smoked chrome....kind of looks like stainless...I like the bumper ends...looks almost like a 57 Caddy

Re: My first day of Power Tour
Steve, cool car. That's what I call a MIRACLE EAR stereo. Turn it up when Charley is talking!!!!

The HRSS454 looks much better with headlight bezels and the side body moldings installed.

We ended up going with body color front/rear bumpers instead of the smoked chrome paint.

Re: My first day of Power Tour
I liked it before,--but it just keeps getting better--The front of the "Inciner8or" has actually taken on a sleek appearance-------- https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif

Thanks Joe. One of the features I like best is the cowl hood with the electric fan circulating hot air out of the engine room.
|
Re: My first day of Power Tour
That fan/hood was a pretty slick piece of designing---Does the fan have to stay on continuously,or is it thermostat contolled-------
|
Re: My first day of Power Tour
It's pilot controlled, upon demand, since I didn't want exposed wires.
|
Re: My first day of Power Tour
Thats a lot of RED

Re: My first day of Power Tour
I like the red better I think also. Just nickel plating would have been cool too. Just done some custom parts like that and it looks pretty nice. That is one nice ride Steve!
