Tell me about it! Just got my 70 Z/28 project out of body shop jail. Took 8 years, but I believe it was worth the wait! Body is laser straight, and the paint and stripes are perfect!
Buddy

Hi ho silver...away

OK Dan. This is when you follow up with an insertion of a car with some silver paint? As in your new 69 with silver paint. Right?

Super cool!!

Z282NV 01-14-2023 06:44 PM

Body and paint looking great. No better feeling than getting over that stage of the project and start bolting on all those shinny new parts.

Love this car and project but seriously think it’s needs an amazing lace or candy paint job And that silver is a spectacular base for just such paint

Obviously do as you wish it’s your car but feel it would throw it right up over the top!

Either way I love the car and what you’re doing with it I like the clean look too but just think it’s begging for this kind of paint.

Finally got to do some odds and ends. The fuel filter is mounted, the brake lines and parts are completed, the booster is just a place holder with the original one is being rebuild and plated. Decided to use my Drag dimensions traction bars, just freshing up the paint on them before I put the new decals on.

R68GTO 06-09-2023 09:23 PM

Looking awesome - nice work and part choice!

NorCam 06-10-2023 01:02 PM

Nice work Dan. This is clearly going to be another stellar car and I cannot wait to see more.

Digging the fuel filter and of course the awesome choice of trac bars.:cool2:

L72Chevelle 09-10-2023 10:50 PM

Very creative way of mounting the fuel filter, Nice!
Top shelf build as usual.

chevyandpontiac 12-10-2023 01:24 PM

I just got the correct booster back from plating so progress will be starting up again.

NorCam 02-14-2024 12:20 AM

Saweet!

That arse end shot really makes a statement. Liking the blue wheel in there too!

markinnaples 02-16-2024 01:31 PM

Love it. A question about your steering wheel: Did you have to get an adapter kit for it to fit, or did it fit the stock Camaro column? Thanks.

chevyandpontiac 02-16-2024 01:50 PM

The adapter kit is still available from Grant on amazon . Grant part# 3196 this is what I used on the car. the steering wheel is an original Superior 500

----Covico as well. Mooneyes handles the adaptors as well as a bunch of metalflake steering wheels. I know as I just ordered one from them.....Bill S

markinnaples 02-16-2024 10:03 PM

Thanks for the info. I got a red metal flake one for Christmas, so I thought maybe I'd need the adapter kit.

Looks great, but your transmission cross member is in backwards.

olredalert 03-14-2024 01:59 PM
