This was a really neat idea that involved the younger crowd. Hagerty set up a group of kids that judged the cars (they knew their stuff! ) Picture credit for the group photo goes to Mike Angelo (M22 Mike) Grady Burch and Bob Ashton appear in the bottom photo :)

Wow Bruce your coverage is unbelievable I sat on my couch just now and went to the Chicago MCACN car show all over again... it was truly amazing to say the least . Like all of the others say we love seeing you and the family. I wish I could take credit for that kid but that is Amy‘s son Lane ...He is one hell of a drag racer and if possible that boy would race five nights a week.

Thanks for the help, Doug! Glad you enjoyed the pics. It was good to see you (briefly...LOL)

I didn't understand the placement of these two Vettes. The green '67 car was not an L88, but it was with the L88s. It's an L71 435 horse car, the owner's poster said so - as did the three obvious 2 bbl Holleys on the car. Unless, it was mis-identified as an L71 at some point in its life, restored as an L71 and later found to be an L88? I dunno

The white '65 was supposedly Zora's development mule - the first car to have an L88 installed and tested , the first car to have an M22 tested in it. Yet, it was kind of up "out of the way" , away from the L88 display. I guess because it wasn't a '67...A very important car nonetheless.

Thank you for posting the photos, Bruce. They are great.
How is it that I roamed around there for about 10 hours and I see pictures of cars that I missed? There's so much eye candy at this event you can't take it all in.

A12pilot 11-25-2017 01:12 PM

10hrs?? I was there for Four DAYS and still don't remember seeing a quarter of the cars Bruce took pictures of.:frown: And on top of that, missed meeting several members I really wanted to meet! :eek2:

Thanks again for posting Bruce!! See you soon.

Cheers

I obviously was not following the fact that you and Holly were making the trek, otherwise I would have made the time to meet. Darn it. :( I too never saw some of the car you have pics of so thanks for taking them Bruce - and why is it all the best guys are named Bruce anyways? :)

BULLITT65 11-25-2017 04:41 PM

Great pics Bruce. Are all the survivor type cars mixed in with all the other cars? or are there separate areas for the unrestored vehicles?

Xplantdad 11-25-2017 05:52 PM

The vintage certification cars are all grouped together. There are other survivor cars throughout the event :)

Chazman 11-25-2017 06:50 PM

Wow! Awesome thread and fantastic pics! I wish I could go back and spend more time checking out some of those cars. I feel like I missed most of the show!

SuperNovaSS 11-26-2017 02:05 PM

Thank you very much for going through the extreme effort to post all of these pictures and add comments. I really wish I could have been there but now I feel like I did not miss out. Thanks again,

Thanks Bruce for taking all the pictures. My Black LS-6 was back in the corner by the barn finds for it's first showing after 14 years of work. You even captured me with both my Brother in laws talking on Sunday morning! Thanks again. Being in the back It really didn't get all "The Love" as the cars in the front, but it did score 978 out of 1000 points in it's first showing for a Gold Certificate.

Bill

Xplantdad 11-26-2017 03:06 PM

Bill, your black LS6 was really beautiful! I checked it out a couple of times...when I wasn't taking pictures :) Congrats on the gold!!

427TJ 11-26-2017 07:10 PM

THANK YOU BRUCE! Lots of work getting photos and posting them for the rest of us. Too many amazing cars all in one place. Love the '67 Camaros, the F.I. '58 Delray (never seen one of those) and the '64 409 wagon. Oh, and the '67 L78 Elco. And, and, and...

Xplantdad 11-26-2017 07:34 PM

You are welcome Bill! YOU have to go to this show!!!:headbang:

454_Malibu 11-26-2017 10:32 PM

As Always Bruce, U R The Pic Man!!!

bergy 11-27-2017 02:28 PM

Great pics Bruce. Just catching up on the 69 Yenko picutres for the registry. I'm assuming that 9n614906 is painted the correct fathom green (appears burnished brown in the photo)? Also the rally green Yenko - I believe that it's 9n615396?

markinnaples 11-27-2017 04:16 PM

Thanks much for posting up those pictures. Really made it feel like we were there. Excellent job!
