Wow alot of work and appreciate it!!! Tough getting us "set in our old way" users up to speed. As far as the private message limit it was 200 threads with unlimited responces
I had over 2000!!!! I'd hate to have to delete them all.

That worked. It seems I was having problems with refreshing after I made a change, because I tried it before and it didn't work.

I also see that the 'Show Avatars' just got changed, presumably by the Admin. I *know* it was unchecked before..... Changed it back.

Yes, we did change the settings to show signatures, avatars, pm's as many couldn't find them. Sorry about that, but as you did they can be manually shut off in your user cp options.

Still not seeing a resolution of my above issues (I set my settings yesterday, BTW) .......thanks!

Edit: I tried decreasing the size of my avatar and that helps. Still no joy on placing a photo in signature as before.

Probably a simple answer, when i used to log on I could go to posts? or new posts and there would be about 20 pages or so with numerous posts in chronological order. Now I get a few posts 5 now 3 before with numerous posts inside those. How can I see all the posts in chronological order. I have reset my preferences and have the chronological order......

I was talking about the sig pic. I changed the avatar limits and found your pic on Google, and swapped it with your cropped one. Should show the entire picture now.

yes...however there used to be about 10 ...and you could go back page after page in chronological progression

The way it works (at least on VBulletin) is clicking "new posts" gives you all the threads that have a new post in them since you last logged in. There could be 50 or more, and there could be none, depending on site traffic and how long it's been since you last logged in.

Jody - thanks for correcting my cropped avatar. My sig photo shows too! Thanks - I will attempt to increase its size a bit in my settings or resize it in photobucket.

Edit: I resized my sig photo but looks like this is about as big as I can make it. New limits are 100x500 pixels or 9.8 KB per signature editing notes. Can everyone tell what kind of car is in my sig?!!!! :>))

If you're on the Yenkotheme style (there's a box at the lower left of the page just above "contact us" to change the theme), you will see a button for "todays posts". Click that, maybe that's what you're looking for.

We are going to add that to the default theme as well.

I see where you are saying to change the theme...I don't see any button about "todays posts"...I am looking for recent posts in chronological order well past today...having nothing to do with what i have visited...sorry about this..it is probably just me....

Yes and no Sam ....... needs to be way bigger............... is there anything that can be done guys.............I am willing to donate for more space if that will help? I think we would all gladly share the cost to have the site work like the old one............ if that is possible. What I loved about this site is that we could load big pictures and it was so easy :)

I bumped the sig pic sizes, but you'll probably have to re-load the pics to take advantage of the larger size. When Charley gets back I'll get him to help out with the size limits he wants.

Why is my avatar so huge. Some are normal size and some aren't??

Okay I figured it out. I have to save my huge avatar pic, then re-download it and it came back as normal size.
There are lots of guys with this issue and lots of huge sig pics too.

You use the entire Youtube address between the Youtube quotes. In this case the address to copy/paste is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PR1kVnPcxec Your address looks correct to me. How was it set up before, did you use the entire youtube address or just the id number (PR1kVnPcxec)?

Will we be able to download pics from our PC like before? Right now there is not an option for that.

You can do that now with the manage attachments button below when you are making a post. Click that button and choose the pic you want on your computer, hit upload, and it's done. I have it set now to show the pic instead of a thumbnail you have to click.

If there's any new posts in any section of the forum the post icon to the left of that forum will be lit up, instead of plain.

Same idea inside the forums with the individual threads, new responses will be the open envelope, and the thread title itself is in bold letters. You can easily scan new responses this way without looking at dates.
