Re: Sleeper Chassis Project
Wayne, did you ever get the REARS mount and installed? Like to see how this went and what it looks like as I have those tires for my '69 as well. I'm going to see how they fit with a OEM 15 X 8 I have.
Thanks John |

Re: Sleeper Chassis Project
Wayne, if the 275 on YOUR 8" wheels, how much space is on each side of the tire? (how tight are these tires??)
Also, I know most will laugh or figure what the f@#k, but how id YOU measure your offset? I have the same tire for my '69 and just wondering the best way to fit them? Thanks, John |

I am a total amateur but my spread sheet tells no lies, each item, each fastener, shipping, tax, materials, their are many costs involved in each micro project within the project!!
I like that you shared the build cost:-) Straight up. Ryan |

Re: Sleeper Chassis Project
Wayne, all pictures disappeared???
On the Nova rear, I have a question: I'm going to be ordering some 35 spline stuff. I'm thinking about changing from the '69 axles to the 66 axles to narrow the rear a bit and gain some RIM clearance. What do you think? I just think it will balance off the wheel a bit more then the deep offset that you run (5+ inches in your case) and then maybe be able to run a OEM 8" Vette rally??? Since I'm buying axles anyway, it might save me from also buy another set of rims with the deep offset? THOUGHTS? |

Re: Sleeper Chassis Project
Ok thanks Wayne, will do. I have M-W in my "good" stuff, this one will be fine with Moser. It's only about 800Hp so we should be good.
Now my good stuff, we run M-W 40 spline gun-drilled axles, sheetmetal housing, Dewco center and Performance ceramic bearings throughout. Even CF brakes came from M-W. |
