Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
1.Moving along........Got the Power Steering reservoir mounted ......Mark brought over the correct A/C compressor.....got that installed using Kwik Performance brackets.......(Great Stuff).....got the column shift linkage installed ...... Torque converter bolted up.......I started getting the fuel system installed........Mark modified the stock tank for the LS application........I got the Filter/ Bypass installed and started on the fuel lines......LOL........The lines that Mark supplied are different than the ones I was used to using and after trying for 45 minutes to get one fitting installed.........I threw in the towel.......So.....The car is going back to Mark with just a bunch of Mickey Mouse things left to do........In the pic with the A/C compressor installed, I had a spare 99.5" belt laying around but the directions call for a 101" belt.....the one I had was too short as you can see so Mark will be getting the proper sized one.......New Driveshaft is also installed.....

This is perfect. Gorilla gets twitchy when he has a car that is stock. His left eye does a weird thing.

Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
Looks FANTASTIC Mark! Wishing I was gonna be on the HR PT! Make sure to touch base with my crew from Dakota Digital. We need some pics for our blog...and yes...we prefer cars with our systems in them! LOL

Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
Looks great, I sold him the NOS hubcaps.

Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
That dash looks GREAT. I think I'd have to paint the gear indicator and the radio indicator white to match....Just my OCD talking.
Killer looking Ride... Have fun on the tour. BIG |
Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion

Congrats Mark....well done. Another Great Big Car among your Awesome Collection of Big Cars Dan |
Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
The car looks great! I think the whole subtle theme and traditional wheel look often overlooked during an "upgrade".
I can't wait to hear driving impressions between tge old vs new. Nice job to everyone involved! |
Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
Looking good I'll look for it on HRPT - is your right low beam have a bad bulb, looks darker?
|
Re: Webster's 67 Bel Air Conversion
Looks great Mark. Curious with the column shift linkage and indicator for the OD trans. Did you need to fabricate and adaptor to suit the car or is there a vendor that makes them? Obviously the shifter works correctly and at some point you may change the PG indicator? We don't have a lot of LS conversion cars in Australia but the more I see, the more I like. Nice job.
