Re: day two shifters
Yes it had the console and U shaped shifter .We pulled the console and tried to use the original shifter , but it was too clumsy, so we made the change to the Pontiac unit .

Re: day two shifters
Great. Can you ship me the console? LOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Nice, I happen to have ( somewhere) the same exact shifter for a three speed that's never been out of the box.

Nova boy, Last I checked 1966-67 Chevy II was still available from Hurst, if not I think I have a couple...
Marlin, I'm pretty sure I have a 1969-70 Nova W/ console, BB or SB ??? Astock, Do you need OEM or aftermarket ??? Heres some more pictures of the odds and ends... Thanks... Crash |
Re: day two shifters
BB
|
Re: day two shifters
Aftermarket. I think it would be the same shifter (no console) for 442, Chevelle, Nova, GS, ect... Just figured if you had an nos one from the Jefferson meet.
Thanks |

Re: day two shifters
Just dug out some Hurst and Mr Gasket shifters I've had for a Loooooooooong time, put away in the attic.
I'd like to get an idea what these are worth, and the applications. This first one I know will fit a Muncie as I checked the bolt up pattern against one. It is the early version with the flat reverse handle. I have the 3 large spacers that go between the shifter and trans mounting area. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...0-dscf6919.jpg Not sure what this one will bolt up to, but I know it is the later version with the round reverse handle https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-dscf6924.jpg This Mr Gasket piece I think may have been on a Ford Toploader that I had in a 65 Mustang back in the 70's. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-dscf6929.jpg |
Re: day two shifters
Wow! That first picture is the exact First Design Ram Rod I purchased from Kurt....Way cool!

Re: day two shifters
Was there an earlier version of this Ram Rod shifter without shift stops? Thank you, Tom.

Re: day two shifters
Oh man.....what an awful way to ruin the originality of the one like I have with that reverse lock-out! Still a great item.

Re: day two shifters
I was watching this eBay auction for a Ram Rod Decal. Unfortunately they ended it early....we all know why!
Does anyone have one of these or know how I can get one made? Thanks, Kurt Ram Rod Decal http://s5.postimg.org/chf6fi3pj/Hurs...l_3_X3_5_1.jpg |
Re: day two shifters
Kurt, those pop up on eBay every once in a while. I think the guy reproduces them, but I didn't look into it much.
|
Re: day two shifters
kurt mr-427 sells them on ebay for 15 bucks he has 3 on there now with free shipping.
|
Re: day two shifters
I believe the one pictured above is the original one. At some point, Hurst must have changed it to the "Hurst Ram 4".
Thanks, Kurt http://s5.postimg.org/inu1j69tz/Hurs...l_3_X3_5_3.jpg |
Re: day two shifters
Maybe mr-427 would also be interested in reproducing the original Ram Rod decal/sticker? Can't hurt to ask.
|
Re: day two shifters
I have one original if they want something to go by.
|
Re: day two shifters
I have the picture saved on my computer. I just need to find time to see if anyone local can make some. Maybe after the holidays.
