Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
Very nice storage building Thomas. I see I need to pay you another visit as all those cars used to be stored in a much smaller garage the last time I was there. Love the new 'storage' building! Looks like you built it on the same property as your shop is located. I know you should us where you had plans on putting up another building and never guessed it was going to be that big. Congrats!!!

Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
Great shop and dedication Thomas, I remember reading the thread on GJ a while back, I think I stopped on page gazzillion though! What a great read, it must be very satisfying working in that restored shop.

Not a 'man cave'garage pix, but thought Id throw it up here. My buddy stencilled my driveway a little while ago -and left a little trademark unbeknown to me lol...

Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
finally got done with my dream garage (plan to have the <span style="font-weight: bold">ferris bueller wall of glass in the back</span>, header already in place waiting for 21 ft span of glass panels, floor to ceiling), overlooking small ravine my son will probably push a car into someday. Very happy I went with a truss ceiling, for car lifts. drywall is the next project. Highly recommend epoxy-coat floor finishes. Recommend the higherend juno lights that adjust (slightly recessed) versus the cheap ones that look like eyeballs.

Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
<span style="font-style: italic">It's not a dream garage..but it does the job. We rent this from a local guy who built it to store his motorhome. It has 16 foot ceilings and radiant heat...very secure. I was there today lining up the cars for winter storage, adding Sta-Bil and covering them for the "winter nap"
We store some "stuff" there too...very dry storage...humidity was 39% today...never any issues with rodents or other pests. One more to move tomorrow before the weather goes in the tank....of course several are available for <span style="font-weight: bold">"Holiday Delivery"....</span>more on that later </span> http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...8/IMG_3879.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...8/IMG_3883.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...8/IMG_3882.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...8/IMG_3880.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...8/IMG_3881.jpg |
Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
Tom,
WOW! What a great space. You could get a triple decker lift with that ceiling height Dan |
Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
Dan..I've looked into lifts...the posts take up space...but, it may be something we do in 2013. It is nice in the winter working on a "warm floor"...wilma
ps...that other car in the photo is a 1941 Studebaker..he has another in teal blue... the BB engine on the dolly is a 68 L78..one of 617 4spd. Nova motors made, it goes to another Nova we have... Gold Chicken Lips as Brent calls them |

Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
I have a shop at Infineon/Sears Point in Sonoma but since I don't actaully own it I won't post photos.. I do have a ice little two car garage I keep a 427 Camaro in along with some German race car.. Pretty clean, heated and air conditioned with about 50 recessed can lights and I powder coated all the garage door hardware so it blends a little better than all that exposed steel....need to do the floors but still haven't decided which route to go

Re: Lets see your garage/shop or any dream garages!
Nice Van! Can I borrow the Camaro when I am in town?
