Here's "pichers"!
http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...pa68/020-1.jpg And proof! http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/th_021-1.jpg I ordered an remote resevoir for the power steering, need to fit an accellerator pedal and install the cable, and tidy up the ECM wiring. I suppose after that, get some exhaust on it! |
Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
Not much to show today. Spent the day working on the remote power steering resevoir and start to tidy up wiring. I should have some small fittings and the proper molded hose for the power steering. After that, I can get the accessory drive operational, bleed the brakes, and fit the acellerator.

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
The 59 made it's maiden voyage on Sunday. Dead battery in the camera to commemerate!
A lesson to all..................Air Ride + Muscle Bars does not equal tailpipes. Dropped the 59 off at the exhaust shop today. The ability to have tailpipes looks slim! I'll am going to try to stop tomorrow at the exhaust shop to snap a pic or two. |

Beautiful car.

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
While the roads were still clean, I spent some time working out some bugs. Not much for pics until I reall dive back into the car just to tidy up some loose ends. I still have to plumb the A/C, install the stereo, and get it aligned.
What I did do, is promise my buddy Hunter a ride in "his" car. http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_2327.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_2328.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_2330.jpg And just a couple of pics as it sits. Need to rework the tailpipes to hide them. http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_2336.jpg http://i1043.photobucket.com/albums/...8/100_2337.jpg |
Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
Cool......Dan has the list for the Power Tour Hotels.........Nuff Said!!.....LOL....Now get the A/C working so Tracy can ride in comfort.....

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
The fellow I bought the car from sent me some pics of the car in it's "virgin" condition. I kinda like the car before anything was touched!

Re: 1959 Bel Air Winter Project
While this has nothing to do with my 59, here is a Biscayne from the same fellow I purchased a couple of cars from. If I were not DEEP in cars, I'd be posting this in the members section rather than offering it for discussion. IMO, WOW!
