TO THE READER OS THE SITE. I WANT TO THANK ROB FOR WORKING SO HARD TO TRY AND COMPLETTE THIS DEAL, BUT I AM SORRY TO SAY AT THIS TIME I AM UNABEL TO COMPLETTE MY END OF THE SALE. AND WITH THAT BEING SAID I WANT IT TO BE KNOWN THAT I FOREIT THE DEPOSIT OF $5000.00 THAT I SENT TO ROB. THIS THE PRICE THAT I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO COMPLETTE THE DEAL WITHIN THE TIME FRAME. I AM TRULLY SORRY. IF THERE IS ANY ONE THAT CAN ROB WITH THE SALE OF HIS CAR THAT WOULD BE GREAT.

As a perk to Rob and any interested buyer, I would be willing to fly to Peoria, IL to inspect and document the car and give someone an honest opinion of what it needs for completion. All I would ask for is airfare and one days lost shop costs. I will cover food and lodging. Unfortunately, the earliest I could go see the car would be the weekend of May 2nd due to other commitments. PM me if anyone is interested.
Rick

Bruce, I'd love to have Rick document the car and then restore it behind the pilot car. But I'm a little short on cash right now. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif Maybe I should ask Peter Fonda, he might want it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif

Guys, let me start by saying a friend of mine Dick K. a car collector drove over 6 hours from Columbus,Ohio to Peoria, Illinois to work out a deal on this car and was USED by the seller to work a better deal with someone in Chicago. My friend took CASH with him to get the deal done, after the first meeting my friend tried to call the seller approx. 5-6 times before he got thru to the seller, my friends final offer on the car was $ 47,500 CASH, and the seller said let me get back with you. And my friend tried to call a few more times only to finally get thru and hear that he was going to sell the car to a friend so he could see the car stay local, I don't understand why Rob would WASTE someones time and let them travel that far. IMO https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif Doug

Did k92 agree to sell the car for $47500? if he didnt its your friends fault for not ponying up the asking price of 50k.. Its not k92 fault he didnt want to sell for that. He started out asking 85k and the car was very well bought for 50k, whem a deal is good sometimes its smart just to pony up the asking price and smile.

If he agreeed on 47500 and then changed his mind after your buddy travel all that way..well then its a different story

I understand your frustration but this is a matter that needs to be kept private, between you and Rob.
