my favorite that i owned was a 66 chevy II SS red/red 327/350 L/79 4 speed. maybe not the fastest, but the hardest to control https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif. i sold it to a 16 year old kid (his dad bought for him) and he lost control and rolled it in less than a week https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif. dennis

Re: My Favorite Musclecar
This is pretty much how my pride and joy has looked for the last couple of years. I talked with the machine shop today and the engine should be home next week and ready to be dropped back in. Interior is ready too, I've just got to find the time to assemble everything. I bought her in 2001 and drove the old girl hard for quite a while before I decided to "make her better" which is code word for tear it apart and lock it in the garage..... If things go well, I will row through the gears all the way up North for the Nova nats in 08. I can't think of another car I would rather have than a 68. Being black with blue guts is just an added bonus https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif Though valve covers are just laying up there on the heads, they are too short and would have to have spacers. I hope to find some "real" torque thrusts for the car before long. Those old things don't just grow on trees down here....

Re: My Favorite Musclecar
I drove a daytona yellow 69 SS 396/325 convertible 4 speed that i really miss. I drove it from 1985-90. traded it even up for a 69 small block pace car AND a hugger orange RS Z/28.
How could i not ! I also owned #8030 68 yenko that i street raced in the late 80's. I had alot of good memories in that 69 convertible ! A great car !!!! steve https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif |
