I know that was alot of money but he wouldn't sell it. The guy started at 15k and ended up at 40k. He told me he was a neighbor from the city with alot of money. He just wanted to buy it and put it away. Just going on what the guy told me.

Re: Original 69 Camaro SS 21k L78
Saw the car at Lebanon Valley yesterday. Looked like a very original survivor. Should be cleaned and detailed then driven and enjoyed. Keep from being an overdone trailer queen. They are only original once!!!

Re: Original 69 Camaro SS 21k L78
I just noticed that this car has a 4-core bent neck radiator. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
Anyone know how many L/78's came so equipped? Nuch |
Re: Original 69 Camaro SS 21k L78
I wouldn't even clean and detail the engine. Then it looks like EVERY single other one out there. When you see an engine out like the one in that car, you just KNOW that you're looking at the real thing with nobody asking 'is it real or a clone?' No questions here.

Re: Original 69 Camaro SS 21k L78
Hi Jason,
I am involved with Vintage Camaro, a program that provides recognition and certifies survivor camaros at the GM nationals @ Carlisle. Below is a summary of our program. Please pass it along to the owner of the car. We would love to look the car over at next years GM nationals. Thanks, Steve VINTAGE CAMARO PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING: • Encourages the preservation, status, recognition and appreciation of unrestored Camaros • Offer the hobbyist the opportunity to have their Camaro certified objectively and fairly • Promotes and adheres to the philosophy that the original car showing wear is preferable to one that is improperly restored • Vintage Camaro represents a repository of factory correct standards by which the hobby and serious restorers can all benefit • Vintage Certification identifies a Camaro as having completed a thorough exhausting inspection process, which references factory standards, and at a level as certified by Vintage Camaro Vintage Certifications levels are divided into four divisions: • Vintage Legend - Camaros that are 80%-90% unrestored in all reference areas. • Vintage Legacy - Camaros that are minimally 50% unrestored, in three out of five reference areas. • Vintage Reference - Camaros that are unrestored in at least one Vintage Reference Area. • Camaro Icon - Camaros that have original-unrestored components disbursed throughout. Reference Areas: Certification consists of two areas of consideration, Originality (90%) and Preservation (10%). Reference areas are as follows: • Engine Compartment Area • Exterior Body • Interior Body • Underbody • Trunk What are the benefits of Vintage Certification??? • Vintage Camaro is unique, because it provides recognition, value and status to unrestored (survivor) Camaros. • Provides documentation, and verifies the Camaros pedigree. • Provides the owner with a detailed listing of correct and incorrect items • Our goal is to uncover new information and share it with you. How do I proceed getting my Camaro Certified??? Simply email us at [email protected] and request our rules and guidelines packet. If after reviewing our packet you feel your Camaro meets our criteria, fill out the last page Request for Application and mail it to the address provided at the bottom of the application. If you have questions, our phone #’s are as follows, Steve Shauger at 631-514-9765 or Brett Merryman can be reached at 740-676-4920. |
