Re: 69 Camaro
Curious how rare or unusual 69' Black Exterior (White Interior) COPO's were and for that matter Black 69 Camaros in general.
Does the above 69 Camaro have an original trim tag to match the colors or is the existing tag "new" ?????? I would like to communicate with the builder (or for that matter anybody) to find out what EXACT/SPECIFIC front coil spring was used. I need to correct my slightly nose high 69' COPO clone (T-400, headers, no smog) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...HRPT8B2005.jpg Thanks, <font color="blue"> </font> <font color="blue"> </font> <font color="blue"> </font> <font color="blue"> </font> |

Re: 69 Camaro
Chuck, I don't know how many black Camaros were made from the factory but I can tell you this one ain't one of them. I put a new trim tag on it to reflect the color change I made. Obviously I am not trying to fool anyone. I built this car just like I would have liked to of ordered one in 69. Bought the springs from Rick's and they worked out just fine.

Re: 69 Camaro
After going to all the expense and trouble to have the correct 4346 carb on my CLONE, I wanted to show off Erics beautiful work. The Cowl Induct air cleaner hides everything!
Is my seal right side up??? BTW, This cruise in Springfield,IL was upon my return from Nashville and the 2005 Powertour!!!! |
Re: 69 Camaro
BTW, Eric's carb performed flawlessly, from out of the box, and throughout the Powertour, every start, every day!!!!
However the starter motor does hangup and wont restart immediately (has to sit for 7-10 min) when engine is hot (next to Hooker Headers) and so far I've done nothing to correct this small but occasionally iritating problem |
Re: 69 Camaro
Chuck...On the starter...I bought one of the heat shields from Modern Chevrolet. I run 2" Hooker Super Comps, so the starter is close to the tubes. Never had a problem with the starter.
