Sam I missed that Vette last night, did you notice if the wheels were bolt-ons or real knock offs? [/ QUOTE ] An interesting question you pose. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif Seeing as how I did not test-drive the model in question https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif , one would have to infer from the available evidence. Closer study of the frame can lend some hints. Few would deny that the frame is born-with. So therefore is the frame sufficient enough to warrant such an attribute without significant work in the area of suspension. In this case, I believe most would say "yes". There are other tell-tale signs which I will leave to some of the other (self-proclaimed) experts from previous "Pavillions" entries. |

As Todd Rungren used to say.... Here we go! With this being the 30th anniversary of the critically acclaimed "Smokey and the Bandit", I thot this was appropriate. I saw on Hemmings eWeekly a few weeks back that they are making "the run" from, I think, Texarkanna to Georgia with a bunch of T/A's. Can you imagine that sight? This beauty is a rather rare powertrain combo with only 12K miles. She looks fine in person... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...2/P1010403.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...2/P1010406.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...2/P1010407.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...2/P1010405.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...2/P1010408.jpg [/ QUOTE ] Yes.............I remember it well however, the car pictured above wasn't the one used in the movie. The one pictured above was a 1976 model. The one in the movie was a 1977 model like the one I had. I drove my car to the movie at least a half dozen times and watched the silly thing and then would come out of the movie and have to clear people away from my car so I could leave the movie and do a little showing off. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif The picture below is the only one I have of it. It was taken the day of my wedding to my now ex-wife. I should have known the marriage was doomed when she wouldn't change in the car and throw her wedding dress out through the open T-Tops like Sally Fields did in the movie. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y16...ransAmScan.jpg |

One more. Cubby said these two rods matched her black (and silver) coat....

JD - what a classic photo. It almost looks like an advertisement.

Nancy gave me crap about trying to find it. Told her that inside it was the ONLY picture of my T/A I had. Didn't care about seeing anything else in there including my ex. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif |
