What about this car?? Ive tried to contact Stefano but no answer and his email address's are full.. Stefano are you still with us?? lol Has anyone seen this car recently and what are you honest opinions on condition? Also what do you feel this car is WORTH? I think its a neat car and the guy who owns it now wants to trade me for my 55' Chev Convert. I know what my 55' is worth just no idea on the Turbo Z. Thanks for the help. Andy

I've always had an interest in this car myself and happend to just walk into the Russo and Steele auction when it was selling. I had enough time to get a cursory glance around the car and it looked like a good old car.

The was dead in the water at about $20,000, if I recall the car was selling at no reserve. The auctioneer worked on this car and got some peoples attention and then a dealer that had sold some cars earlier stepped up and paid just over $50,000.

Andy,
We sold the car no reserve at Russo and Steel. While the car drew quite a bit of attention during the preview, not much happened across the block. The dealer who purchased the Car bought it because he felt it was a bargain.

We felt the car was worth much more, but very few people really know anything about these Yenkos. It is a very cool package. This car is no slouch, handles great and has all the modern conveniences. It is also the only other camaro than 1969 to have factory, functional cowl induction.

I've seen and heard others claims, but this is still a one of one, as far as I have seen and the last of the cars built by Yenko.

Kasey...If you ever meet me in person you will understand that I am usually on the humorous side of things. My post was done in humor but also to make the point that your posts can be hard to read. It wasn't meant as any kind of threat. As you can see though, I'm not the only one that feels that way. Sorry if you saw it as anything more than what it really was. There is a reason that Denis came up with https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...arleySucks.gif and it is not because of my serious side.

I don't think that Charley has a serious side...LOL

Kasey, wait until you meet the "master of practical jokes at the SCR's" in person... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

Now, on the other hand, we know that https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...elairSucks.gif and that https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/stupid.gif and for the most part https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ouguysrock.gif

You can <<<take>>> that to the bank! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Re: Yenko Turbo Z For Sale

The car is a really neat car. I owned it for a couple years. In my opinion the repaint took away from the car. When I had it the paint wasn't that bad, it did have some heat checking on the hood from the turbo. But it was a 30k mile surviver. I was told a story when I bought it about the 4xx miles on the car, but I can't seem to find the email any more. But it had something to do with miles put on it when it was transfered from one dealer to another and not from demo miles. There are several pictures of Don with a turbo z but none of them is a white one. Hope this helps.

Hey...that's just Kasey's personal style! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Bruce, you nailed it!!

Let me start by saying, I know Charlie's post was nothing personal toward Kasey. It seemed like a mere hint to tone the extra characters down a bit.
I'll admit that all the extra +++//// may make it a little tough at times to read, but if you knew Kasey personally you would say "thats just Kasey".

When I was a teenager, I had the pleasure of working for Kasey in the retail industry. He is a good spirited, fun loving guy who is always looking for ways to lighten up the tense situations. He always seems to find the positive in things rather than the negative. Now that I think of it, I can't ever recall seeing him in a bad mood.
I quickly come to learn that his Integrity is second to none. Kasey believes in doing what is "right" even if it is not what is popular which, unfortunately, seems to be a rariety in today's money driven society.
Kasey also has strong family values and an unbelievable bond with his son Kase, through their love of GM muscle cars (they are practically best friends).

Kasey is the person who will go out of his way to help any of you guys, even if he has to place himself second.

I think Kasey found out the true meaning of our hobby years ago.
You guys are in for a treat at SCRX.

Kasey, you are one of a kind and a pleasure to know.

Thank You for everything. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif

Actually, this is all kinda silly. Charley was just having fun too. Sometimes we take things the wrong way when we can't see someone's facial expression or hear a tone of voice. Sounds like a lot of us are bored with this weather and going a little stir-crazy from being house-bound. Let's just all get over this and go on, OK? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

I'm looking forward to meeting Kasey too. Don't change a thing Kasey! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif
