[/ QUOTE ]Sure look's like the same car he sold on ebay a while ago. Wasn't this car re-sold on ebay 2 or 3 times since? I don't rememember Chuck representing this car as a 13,000 mile ex-racecar or a documented L78 car. He had no docs when he owned it. The description gets better and better every time someone flips this car. If it sells on sYc will it suddenly become validated? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Not the same car, Im sure there were a few Hugger Orange L78's back in 69...You really have no right to insinuate anything and put my car into question. Do you have some kind of weird motive by saying this or do you make it a habit to discredit peoples cars in a public forum without having any facts. If you want to know facts just ask me, I gaurantee you I am the most honest person you will ever meet. otherwise why do you care and why would you make such a statement? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

Sam, I don't know you or Kevin . I don't know anything about your car but I remember when Chuck had his car up for sale. I went back and found his listing for it. In reading it, I could understand why someone would think they are the same car. Here is a copy of his description of the car.

I imagine thats why someone else asked me that also, I emailed Chuck and asked him because I was and still am trying to get some history on it but he said it wasnt his car.
The carpet in my car is like new but not new, even has some good heel wear by the gas pedal under the mat, the gauges are old and original, the engine air cleaner is old, has the old fan, ect. There are other difference's also. I am planning on dropping the tank this weekend and find out what that piece of paper is over the passenger side of it.

I just found this post where someone was talking about the car before I got it and it was linked with the ebay ad, interesting..Im going to pull the spoiler and see if there is any writing on it,Or are they talking about the old one? When I talked to him before by email and gave him the vin he said it wasnt,Maybe he thought it was as they look similar? Must be why Musclecar Kid said that...Im going to check into this a little further..here is the post I found..
" <<<Solid car for sure...real colors hugger/black/white ,no panels of any type replaced from everything i saw and knew about the car it was a real L78....hes also done alot to the car since i had it,and 35k isnt a bad price at all compared to all the 60 and 70K L78s with fake pops and restamped motors as paperwork...i took the spoiler off the car and it said"L78 restored by so and so in 1982 "written in marker underneath etc...also had a heater box dated L68 and a 6000 tach which was original ...maybe you can contact the seller and see what you can do">>>

Sam, No one is trying to discredit your car and I don't make a habit of picking on other peoples cars ever! You say you emailed Chuck and he told you this was not his car. Well, he called me today and said this is in fact the very same Hugger orange 69 L78 Camaro he sold earlier this year. He sold to a guy from Maine. The ebay ad states it was also from Maine. Doesn't seem out of line to assume it could be the same car, as all the specs on the car match what Chuck's car had. Hugger/white, Van nuys, CE 396, etc. Nothing wrong with the car, but I can't figure out where all the history is coming from. Good luck on the sale.
