Re: meanest supercars....

Although not as well known as the others,Ray Ridge Chevrolet in Trenton Michigan took delivery of a few noteable Hi-po Chevrolets, and turned them into SUPER Hi-Po Cars.
One such car was a 1970 Chevelle LS-6,with Dealer added:
Aluminum 454 block,AL. heads with Headers & AL.intake.
Fiberglass front fenders,hood,Trunklid W/spoiler.
Prowler Street tires,Sun Gauges,Drag shocks,and Disc Brakes deleted. & 4:88 Posi.
It supposedly ran mid 10's.

Hard to argue with a Hemi Dart. What kind of exhaust did the Hemi Dart come with stock?.

[/ QUOTE ]
I thought they came with a funky *temporary* single exhaust wired up, similar to the '64-5 race Hemi cars?

Gotta go with the Hemi Dart. I got to ride along on a run in the early 70s. It did 10.5----130 mph.

Then I had to go back to my L-48 Nova.......hehehe...

Motion was famous for it...but every big city had their shop that would build killer stuff...Hemi Darts are sure badass...so are the Mr Norm GSS 440 Darts..But I'll still take a 69 Yenko Nova and tweak it like everyone did.....that has got to be an animal...

Come on Bobby.. you want an Animal? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
A novice driver granny shifting one of these bastards would give a finely tuned 68 Hemi Dart or Yenko Nova a very hard time https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif.. as well as show 'em the tail lights https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

correct me if I'm wrong but weren't they also delivered to the "special" people honored enough to get one with a hydraulic street hemi cam?? I can swear I remember reading that.. And the owner (usually a drag racer like Sox and Martin..etc) would build, balance and blueprint the engine to their specs ? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif
