That sounds more like it, I was not aware of any '67 L79 Novas (325hp) coming from Canada. I believe all 6 are from the US.

Cool story, but you would probably need the warranty replacement of the L79 to document it - and justify the increased value, otherwise.... It's a cool car, drive it like you stole it https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

There are L79 Acadians, though!

I am with Kim. Never saw or heard of a 325HP nova car in 67. Grumps 68 was a 325HP car with a Q-jet and iron intake. 69 vettes had a 350-350hp with a Q-jet. I didn't think they called them 325hp cars till 68. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Sam it looks like they lowered the HP for the 67 to 325 instead of 350 Hp like the 66 nova.

Well if you say so Kim.

Colvin's book still lists them as 350hp, with 6 built. While I have a great deal of respect for nova resource, I would politely disagree. The block codes change in 68 and reflect the intake carb hp difference. I believe there are a couple of documented 67 L79s out there. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected.

Now I am with Kim and Schonye! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif I am not always real crazy about books. Unless they were written in 1967. If you really want to know you can always call Grump. He supercedes any book written today in my opinion. He was THERE!

I believe the L79 Acadians were only in '66, not in '67. Very cool cars, would love to have one - only like 100-200 built in both SS, and hardtops?

Of the 6 1967 L79 Novas, I believe 3 are found and I believe they are 350HP versions with the alum intake and the holley, not the '68 version.

I wouldn't take stuff written down back in the day as gospel though https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif You old timers were just as much a bunch of BS'rs back then as you are now https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif I recall Don Yenko writing letters to NHRA about his 500 deuces.... et al.
