Its very hard to read, As Jeff said, it looks like Ron O or Ron D...maybe Davis? Does the name ring a bell to anyone? The car is a 1968. The side of the roof reads "Performance parts by Fred Potter"

Joey the car WAS a 1968. The reason I know that is because the orig owner of Geno's Deuce said he bought a 68 Chevelle new at the dealer and used to race this guy......of course he said that he beat the Nova everytime...... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

By the way the car was not white when it was new. I believe that the original color was red.

Twice I have heard that name in a month. I visited a auto parts store for some parts for my rebuild. The owner noticed my Yenko shirt and we started talking about the cars. He was showing me pictures of a 60 something Impala that he used to race and still owns to this day. He remembered his pal Fred Potter at Fencil Tufo got him all the sheet metal for his car. Fred told him he should buy it just in case. Well he still has the sheet metal and he paid near nothing for all of it obviously. Then I mention Mr. Ed being at Fencil. Must be some bad blood there cause he clamed up quick and said "Ok, I don't care to go into that subject". And he seemed pretty agitated. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Darren that is a cool story. As far as the bad blood, I can see it happening. Sometimes that stuff happens in business. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Found out the guys name in the picture of the Fencl Tufo Nova today. The guys name is Ron Vaia and he was John Tufo's nephew. Supposedly he had unlimited access to the parts Dept. for the car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif
