I'm doing everything within my power not to go out and buy an engine hoist! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

Darren, Borrow a hoist, buy a stand. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif Get the stand with four wheels, it's more stable. You'll also need four 3/8" by 3" bolts (GRADE 8) with washers to mount the motor to the stand.

It takes less than half a day to pull your engine out, and less than half a day to put it back in. You'll be glad you did it, much better access to both your motor and your engine bay - you can really get at everything standing in the bay!

Keep the camera handy, take pics of everything before you remove it, and bag and tag all parts and hardware. Buy a case of beer and invite one or two buddies over for the removal and the re-install, they can help you make sure the engine moves in and out without banging into anything.
Separate the trans from the bell housing and drop out the trans first, then pull off the bell housing, clutch and flywheel while the engine is swinging from the hook.

I would be there for you but you're a little far from Seattle and my wife might miss me.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Better buy Coke, or else you'll have drunken buddies trying to tell you where stuff goes. Save the beer for when it's all done!
