I double checked my research and it lists the curb weight at 2,723 lbs. I will verify when I get the Ford / Shelby assembly manual and service manuals I just purchased.
Marlin, I will be at Vargo with my car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Very nice car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif...I've seen it in person, but didn't realize it had left Vineland.

Re: Da Judge's 69 Shelby GT 350...
Mike,
I'd have to disagree with the 2700 lb thing also - but in a most respectful way, of course! If a 69 GT350 weighs 2700 lbs, either my scales are broken or some jack ass filled my Cobra and 65 GT350's frame rails full of molten lead! I think the Cobra scaled out around 2200 lbs, and I can't help but think all that steel, glass, seats, etc. has to weigh more than 500 lbs? But I am very curious to see what your books say. Let me know and I will double check mine. Books are NEVER wrong, right? Did you plan on the Shelby party Dec. 3rd yet? And don't let Gags drive your car. The bastard left his phone books on my seat the last time I let him drive mine. And there is still an odd stain in my 64 GTO from when he drove it at the Supercar Reunion. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...elairSucks.gif Colin |

According to the Shelby Registry the 69 GT 350 weighs 3600 lbs. It also lists a GT500 as weighing 3850 lbs.

Re: Da Judge's 69 Shelby GT 350...
Charley,
Did you read the footnote about 65 GT350's? "Big tube headers and large exhaust adds 800 lbs." Man, I'd HATE to have one of those setups. Colin https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...arleySucks.gif |
Re: Da Judge's 69 Shelby GT 350...
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif Thanks for the lesson guys. I just got my manuals and it is listed at around 3,600lbs. I meant no misinformation. Being new to Shelby's I looked at only a few internet sites and I should know better than to take internet sites as gospel. I listed one of the sites below that I looked at for info just so you don't think I am totally https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif My main concern when I bought this car was to learn all of the correct part numbers and locations so that I could make an educated decision. Thanks again for the correct information https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
