Re: Vintage drag pics
It's a painted bow-tie logo with "CHEVY" in the center. The complete slogan says "Chevy is the difference."
The other info that I can make out in the original photo is the owner/driver name on the door. It reads "Tom Garrett's" "Tribulation". "427 CI" is painted below the Camaro emblem on the front. I'm having trouble making out the name of the town on the rear quarter, though. Need a jeweler's glass I guess. It looks like "Newoosite, Okla" but that can't be right. Mapquest and Google return no matches. I'm sure of Ne???site.....I think. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif Also....there is a chrome trim strip rocker molding on this car. Did COPOs have those? |

Jim Hayter / Tom Garrett... Dallas... ZL1 ??? ZL1 |
Re: Vintage drag pics
Correction to above.......the Owner of the car is Tom Garrett. It's painted in the white strip of the door above "Tom Garrett's Tribulation".
Got to be the same owner as the Jim Hayter ZL1 mentioned above. |
Re: Vintage drag pics
I have this magazine pic and if you look real close you can see the corners of the jackstands under the front wheels.
