Re: M. Hassett in MuscleCar Enthusiast
It is a shame that they didn't have the decency to send you a early Issue out of their first batch. Oh well..!!! But just the knowledge of having your car on the cover is a real charge.

Re: M. Hassett in MuscleCar Enthusiast
Dumb question:
Is there any possibility Mark's car was in Daytona Beach in '69? I remember a guy attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ. then with one like it. He was from NY. He never opened a book. Just street raced and flunked out. (don't remember his name, huge guy with blond hair). I remember he had Smokey Yunick do some "tweaking" on the L-88. Verne. |

Re: M. Hassett in MuscleCar Enthusiast
Verne, that is a Good Question--I believe 2 of the 3 cars are Blue & White L-88's. Kevin S. has the other one like mine but he has a Hood Tach. So maybe a 50/50 chance that you saw mine??
Thanks, Mark |
Re: M. Hassett in MuscleCar Enthusiast
Mark,
The blue one I remember in Daytona did not have a hood tach or emblems (at all) on the front fenders. I don't recall if there were emblem holes left behind. I couldn't be more impressed with your car. You're a lucky guy. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif The Phase III Camaro was my ultimate dream. When the famous "Wanted Poster" first came out in a magazine, I cut it out and hung it on the wall in my parents' garage. The very same one is still hanging on the cabinet door in my shop today. It's not in the same shape it used to be....................but neither am I. Verne. |
