Re: 72 motion article
Thanks again bbdon, your scans are always superb! (I've always loved that firebird article).
Fashion Police: Frank - Don't mess w/ that ride, it looks perfect. Fred - Your girlfriends vette looks "just sick" w/ those Hooker pipes (current POSITIVE slang for "tits")....I think Bad is still good too. -Yours look too short...I'd can em on the Camaro. my $.02 and a good excuse to use my favorite new 'emoticon' -Mark Holman |

Fred
The slots, traction bars and hood look great on your car. I like sidepipes but not the ones on your car. The Hooker 4 into one type like on your corvette would look great however in chrome. Hooker is still making them. |
Re: 72 motion article
Is this the one of one Galen Govier certified Cudamaro? (I couldn't resist)

Re: 72 motion article
Fred I actually do like side pipes. There is an old tire shop that is in Cicero IL right where I grew up and the owners have 4 old cars in the showroom that have been there since I can remember. The guy has like a 68 Mustang that is "day 2" actually from back then complete with the chrome side pipes, fat rear slots with the M/T Indy profile tires that are originals not repops, 4 speed with hurst t-handle shifter, and he has the car painted like a Competition Orange color. The license plates that are on the car were last registered I think in 1980. I will have to go back and take some pics. The place is really cool and is like you are back in time.
That was my influence for the side pipes and if my car wasn't so original I would really put them on! BTW I like the pic of your Camaro! |
Re: 72 motion article

Re: 72 motion article
I agree about the pipes - I'm not easily offended...the pipes on my Camaro do need to be replaced with the 4 into 1 Hooker style....that was slated to happen this past summer, however a FAR better project has come my way so most of the funds from my car fund, taking the girlfriend out fund (nothing a pair of shoes she wants can't fix!) and even my "none profit organization - Fred's Beer Fund" have been diverted into this project in order to get it done ASAP....It has to be something special if I put a squeeze on "Fred's Beer Fund".... Re: 72 motion article
OK-- Let me see if I have this straight--He thinks the sidepipes are tits and his girlfriends vette is sick with the Hooker Headers and sick is slang for tits.I just hope in the future I can look at a car with sidepipes without getting aroused. --JoeG
Like to see a picture of your car when your done |
Re: 72 motion article
I have a 16yo, a 17yo, and a 18yo. I asked them yesterday about "tits" as a modern expression. They looked at me like I was crazy.

Hey Frank - If you want a real vintage look for your Chevelle you should use shag carpet for your headliner and on your dash! (I had an uncle that did that to one of his Chevelles back in the day)... ...if I didn't have my Camaro I'd have a Chevelle just like yours....excellent ride!
Hey Stefano...Nope - it's just a hemicudamaro with a chevy small block in it.... |
