Re: What was your first car?
Some of you that post at Team Camaro might remember this so play along and lets see if any figures it out... This is fitting here as my first car was a 1963 model and was equipped with an alum block, alum heads and was an 11:1 compression from the factory V8. I'll check back and see if if anyone figures out this super car!!

Re: What was your first car?
You guys are too good!! '63 Olds Cutless, 215 cubic inches of alum power, 4 bbl and all!! The car cost me $300 and came with a 4 track mounted on the hump. That little mill had 100K on it when I got it and I put 60K more of pure abuse and not a problem. The mill was way before it's time and if GM would have pulled it out of the closet when the import craze hit it would have altered automotive history... Here's a '64, there wern't any major body changes that year... http://autohobbypage.com/cgi-bin/ima...l98/all048.jpg

Re: What was your first car?
1979 Pontiac 6.6L Trans AM with 403 olds engine. I graduated from the AF Academy and before your senior year, we would fly to Pontiac Michigan, have lunch with the brass and then go out to the main parking lot where about 150 of us would pick up our new Trans Am's with a police escort out of the city. It was quite a deal and a better road trip with 150 Cadets racing back to Colorado Springs. Along the way, we would run into other classmates on the open road who had just picked up new Corvette's or Z/28's and that was a spectacle. There were always cops on the highway as it was an anual ritual.

Re: What was your first car?
1969 RS/SS Black with B/W Houndstooth int., in 1994, 20 years old, there was a unrestored Survivor Z at the same classic car dealer, but i liked the RS option, so i didnt buy it.. THAT WAS A STUPID THING NOT TO DO!, i have regretted that many times,
I ended up owning a Z after just a couple of years though, still have it! I painted the black car, Daytona Yellow and sold it within a year after i bought it. NEW |
