Re: 1969 Berger Camaro Colors?

The Berger COPO Nova in question may have been a 1968 L-78/auto car, like the Gibb cars. As I was speaking at the Camarofest this year, I mentioned the Gibb/Harrell Novas. Dale raised his hand and said thet they sold 1 in 1968, a blue one. Jim Mattison went on the say that there were 53 1968 Novas, 50 Gibb cars and 3 others. Tom

I stand corrected: the Nova was a 68 with a special Turbo transmission.

Update on the Berger COPO 69 Chevelles:

Colors: LeMans Blue, Cortez Silver,Fathom Green, Dover White & Garnet Red.

Transmissions: 7 4spd M-21
3 auto

Dale Berger did not give an indication as to whether the Chevelles had the 9737 option.

Appearantly, the one example that may still exist is reported to have been owned by a college roommate of Dale Berger. The gentleman still lives in Lansing and we are trying to locate him to get additional information on these cars.

Mis B , Thanks for checking into the COPO Chevelles. I believe one of the Chevelles was purchased by a friend of Roger Huntington who wrote for Hi Per Cars magazine. Roger mentioned it in one of his editorials and noted the car's low 13sec. quarter mile time. I remember this because it was one of the few times that a factory 427 Chevelle was mentioned in print. I believe it was the Garnet red car.
