Went through something like this a little while ago with the USPS. 3 weeks for a check to go from NH to WI. Delayed at multiple post offices for no apparent reason. Never again, When it comes to checks and or important paperwork UPS or FED-EX, next day or 2nd day air signature required. Yes more money but a lot less aggravation. The USPS service has gotten pretty bad.

A call to the bank this morning show a cheque with this number, amount, date, payee and remitter was made indicating that this is a genuine cashiers cheque.

BUT

Still holding everything till MY BANK clears these funds 100%.

FWIW, Bedford Park is part of Chicago, so it really wasn't going to two different places. Glad things finally appear to be going your way.

Good to hear

I started calling the issuing banks of the cashiers check to verify if they made one. I even called a bank before the guy came and handed it to me a while back and without too many details they confirmed it was legit. Don't get me wrong I still waited the obligatory amount of time before I transferred titles

I am not trying to kick anyone while they are down and I do hope you get your issues resolved but I have never had an issue selling a car/finding a buyer in the GTA.

Likely the exchange rate which, when selling for US funds, benefits a Canadian to the tune of about 34+ %

Nothing to post as no changes. Just waiting for my bank to call and tell me if the funds clear or not. It could take till October 8 or so as the bank said it "could: take 15 business days and there are some stat holidays in that timeframe.

Tracker is correct. The car was for sale and no one thought the car was worth what I did. And even the joke of BaT action caused nothing but grief. Many who wanted the car didn't bid to much as they were concerned about getting it back into the USA. So it got over $10,000 US $$$ more on the sale now then what BaT got bid too. And even shops around here I talked to used the BaT to lower the price from there for the same reasons.

People around here thought they could buy a a survivor 1978 Z28 with 32,000 original miles, with Ac and mostly (95%) original paint for $16/$18,000 CANADIAN.

Amazing that scammers can receive cash money and walk away untraceable with zero recourse but legal transactions take weeks.

Just like tele-scammers cannot be traced... except to send their phone bills.
