Congrats Freddie. Missed seeing you and that Camaro at the Supercar Reunion this year.

Congrats Freddie Gear Head! I feel you've earned that in spades. I retired in '19 also, and it was a slight adjustment, but I fell right into it. Seems the days are still full, just a lot more custom tailored to MY needs.

Congrats Freddie! I have a 14-year-old daughter and a wife with expensive taste so I will be retiring when I'm 107.LOL:naughty:

Congrats, I left work at 51, best thing I ever did.

Congratulations Eddie! I retired over 2 years ago and am still working 6 days a week in the shop. Hopefully you have plans that will keep you busy and enjoy your retirement like the rest of us.

Freddie, congrats on the retirement! Enjoy every minute of it and you will wonder how you ever had time to work with all the things that will now keep you busy!

Thank you all. Yes, I have plenty to do. First I have to get the shop finished and get all of my stuff moved into it. That's probably 6 months away. Then I have to build my '55 Chevy (pictures below). Dad bought this car and then took it apart. He decided that he wasn't going to be able to put it back together, so he gave it to me. I've got a few people who are wanting me to build rear ends for them. I've also got some who want engines and transmissions built. Then there is machine work and welding that someone always wants. My son is setting up a CNC shop for a local business, so there might be an opportunity for some part time work there. A friend has an engine shop with all of the machines (except a crank grinder) and he mentioned that he might like to have me help him sometimes. So plenty to do!
