I do not know if my friend's car was bought new at Craig's Chevrolet. I do know he purchased it from there as a used car in 69 or 70.
Pretty sure Craig's became Craig Ayers Chevrolet. Craig had a son named Woodie, and it became Woody Ayers Chevrolet. I am sitting about 3 miles from the original location as I type this. https://www.oklahoman.com/story/news...s/62424634007/ |
And you can thank Jon Mello for the pic of that ad.

Joel's Z... February 1968. At ten months old the Z was well into Day 2 modifications. It and the black Chevelle were heavy hitters in area street racing.
This pic hangs in my shop and is special to me because of my relationship with the cars and their owners. |
Now THAT is COOL!

I think we need a Members ride on this Z/28 :) :worship:

What a car, congrats!
It's just awesome that there are caretakers that through all those years took care and kept them so we can enjoy them today. Tahoe turquoise is stunning!!! |

Were the rally wheels still on it at that point? The angle makes it hard to tell. Very cool photo.
