I used Advantage lifts and got the Backyard Buddy 4 post. Couldn’t be happier! Got the dolly set up to be able to move it around. I’m 6’3”, so I got the extra tall. Made in the USA.

Assembly
I really like the advantage lifts. They are good quality. I was JUST getting ready to buy one when my friend had another for sale. So I bought that one and now have two 4 post lifts. I have one together and waiting to finish my shop and set them both up. I put one together in my garage with a friend. No jack, forklift, Picker, Loader etc. just him and I. Lay two posts down and slide the cross piece in until it's 2.5 feet or so off the ground. Then one guy on each side stands it up. Repeat on the other end. As far as the rails, we each took an end. The one without the hydraulic ram is not bad at all. The one with the ram was a little heavy. My helper was over 20 years younger, but somehow, I got the heavy end in my 60's. I have to take one apart, then assembly the 2. I might try to rent something if not too expensive. But not going to spend 3 or $400 for a few minutes use. Neighbor has a small tractor... who knows, we'll see. But it can be done with no equipment. If you are concerned, maybe put 2 guys on each end of the rails. Good Luck! D

We have two Rotary 4 post lifts and I assembled both with a helper and no need for anything other than some hand tools. Like Danny wrote, it's pretty basic and easy and they have instructions. Neither are bolted to floor and one I move in fall for winter storage of cars and back to position in spring. Easy and can do it myself.

Really nice Jeff,
I just bought a 9K XL Series lift from KMS Tools and had it shipped to one of their stores near me. I picked it up Wednesday and my son and I set most of it up in my garage with a picker and some tire dollies. I plan to finish it tomorrow and should be able to park a truck on this one (XL width is 112" between the posts). Yours looks great in your garage. https://i.ibb.co/TMgYqHJ/IMG-6397.jpg https://i.ibb.co/r6MK4y7/IMG-6399.jpg https://i.ibb.co/LCvzW0z/IMG-6415.jpg |

I borrowed my neighbors Bobcat to unload our lift when it arrived and my son and I put it together with a 2 1/2 ton hydraulic jack and hand tools. The generic instructions they sent with it were terrible but I found a model specific set online that made it much easier to assemble. Now that I have one I don't know how I live without one. Now I just need another one, or two..lol..
