 Re: Vintage Hurst Loc /Out

Hey jetstuff..welcome aboard and thank you for your input,,i will do some investigating..i have it installed and backed the nut off around 2 turns and loctited it and at the moment it's working great...but i'll take the shifter off this weekend and check that spring......the loc/Out i installed was a brand new NOS and i thought all was working great.....i also have another one mocked up on my Hurst shifter display, i could never tighten it up all the way either..it's installed the same way as my car...thanks again!!!

Ok Jetstuff..i understand what you are saying, ,56 150, Bob Richards, helped me out this afternoon and i got it, so anybody installing these make sure the hairpin clip does NOT slip underneath the sliding plate..i had a mockup trans and an extra one ,so it works great with the bolts as tight as i can get them, now to take it back out of my car and hope for the best when installing it...Thanks for everybodies input..
