I don't know of any great all Chevy shows anymore. I went to GM Nationals the very first year and was somewhat disappointed. We didn't go back until last year and were very disappointed. We spent the morning at Camaro Nat's and then headed to Carlisle anticipating spending the next day there. Spent maybe two hours and cut our losses and headed home that evening. My son is huge 4th gen Camaro guy and they had a GMMG reunion at the Camaro Nats so he was in heaven. Camaro Nat's was OK show but I don't know if it's worth the trip. It's next week and son wants to go, haven't decided yet.

I really miss the Super Chevy Shows from the 70's, 80's and 90's. The Indy show was really the crown jewel of all Chevy shows at the time. We also went to some in Columbus, Oh which were good for awhile. The last one I went to was in Columbus and we spent maybe 45 minutes there and headed to McDorman's show which was going on at the same time. For some reason other than the Mopar Nat's several of the shows at National Trail were a bust. I never could understand why the Columbus area never really drew the huge crowds to car shows like some of the other areas. I see the Super Chevy Shows have been revived and there's one at National Trail this July. I just wonder if it'll be worth going.

Maybe no one wants to go to outdoor shows anymore.

SuperChevy Indy @ Raceway Park in the 1980's really was heaven.
Peotone Il. & Morris Il. to me are two of the last few really good ole shows left around here.Still only $5 to get in,and although the parts are drying up,they do still come in,and attached to the people who know more then most and are still friendly after all these years..Which in itself,is worth the price of admission.

I always do very good selling at GM Nationals, and this year was no exception. Crowd was light, and there was a lack of quality vendors there. This year they condensed the swap meet area this year and a lot of long term vendors didn't come back. This is what Saturday morning looked like around 7:30 AM after being there since Thursday afternoon. This was the first swap meet in my lifetime where I didn't buy a single item for myself or for resell which is saying a lot.

I had my Olds in the SLS and there were a total of 10 cars.....including an incomplete Chevelle shell on display by the Supercar guys (both) and Skip's '02 ZL-1 that he drove in Saturday morning. I attended because I &quot;used&quot; to enjoy doing that show, and felt compelled to after being invited by Brian. Now, it is borderline boring and this morning felt like being in jail waiting until I could load up and head home. Friday was a work day and I got there about 2pm. I'm guessing in the 4 hours from 2-6, there weren't 300 spectators in the SLS display. Saturday was better, but still never a huge crowd. Sad to say, I bet there weren't 50 Oldsmobiles INCLUDING the Toronado and Hurst Olds displays.

Exactly! Way to many car shows around anymore. Maybe that is some of the reason.
Maybe also the fact that we have 4 boys from ages 38 to 30 and non really have any interest. They like my cars but not enough to do anything with them.

It is not Super Car Workshop but rather the shop that paints Brian and Joey's cars, Super Car Restoration with Jamie and Joe. The Chevelle is a 1970 LS6 coupe and they are doing the body and paint for me on this car as well as a few other ones (1970 L78 Chevelle convert, 1970 LS6 Chevelle convert and another 1970 LS6 Chevelle coupe). By the way, this is water base and it is stunning. They pulled it off once again.
