Thank you for that picture! I'm not enamored of all things "Day 2" (then or now), but your Dad's Camaro, with the slicks, the oil filters hanging down in the FRONT, and the SS stripe that turns into flames, etc. just slayed me as a 12 year old kid. Back when I just had a few dozen car magazines, I would go back to that feature again and again and again. I still remember it every time somebody talks Camaros and stance. Any chance you could get that car to MCACN next year, maybe with a display celebrating your Dad? I plan to be there, and I know I'm not the only one who would be floored to see it:)

Sorry to hear of your dad's passing. And I'm right there with Tom regarding his Camaro. I can't tell you how much of an impact his Camaro had on a little kid. It forever sealed in my mind how a Camaro should look and it was epic. Great to see it's safe and still in good shape, and again, my condolences on the passing of your dad.

Top dogs on the South Side were "Climax" a silver '68 Hemi Road Runner and "The Educator" a Hugger Orange '69 Z/28. Both gone far as I know.

Was the Soulful Strut car the Soulful Struters from Union Gospel Mission in Minneapolis? or is there no connection between the two, I have a 68 Camaro that belonged to the Soulful Struters it was Drag Raced in the Minneapolis Area forever. Thx Cory

I lost track of it back in the 80s and I have not heard where it ended up. It was a well done car and it has always been a favorite of mine.

I do not believe that it was part of the Rat Pack out of Dayton, OH.

I was the owner in1986 and i think scott is looking for it now..

Not to derail but does anyone recall a lemans blue? 69 Z from Chicago southwest with mechanical fuel injection I think owner was "Jimmy". Saw it many times at Dukes in Bridgeview. Alleged street racer but never saw it run.

Opt not the car that had the Mighty Mouse sticker on the fenders?
