Re: Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
I believe the LB Yenko Chevelle being discussed went from the Original Owner, to Greg Joseph/Ottis Chandler, to Keith Hudson, to the guy who bought all of Keith's Yenkos at Mecum, back to Mecum and then eventually to Wayne.

Hi Mike. I have seen Mark Rupp's SCW DY Yenko Chevelle. (not the one you are referring to) I can look up the name of a FB friend who owns a DY Yenko Chevelle but it is a project, he has pictures of it crashed into something like a telephone pole in the 70's....(is this the one you are referring to?) Ryan </div></div> This one. Thanks to Mike Hennessey for posting on FB. |
Re: Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
I believe this is the car Ron Norman had. Legendary had it on their website a year or so ago maybe check with them. It was listed as a numbers matching automatic car. This is the only Butternut Yellow with black vinyl top and automatic transmission Yenko I know of. I don't know who it was sold to.

Re: Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
Thanks Rick. Looks like a different car than Legendary had. Sorry if I confused you Ryan. The car was incorrectly painted DY in the 80s or early 90s, and painted correct BY in '97 I believe.

Re: Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
I have not personally seen either of these two Butternut Yellow Chevelles with black tops and automatic transmissions. Other than the passenger side rearview mirror on the picture of Ron Norman's car they look the same. Both have the rear mount antennas. If the car Ron Norman had was originally in North Dakota I would have to assume it is B407566 that was sold new at Muscatel in Fargo ND. The car that Legendary had must have been B407636 which was sold new at Nankivell in Indianapolis IN. Those are the only two Butternut Yellow 69 Chevelles with TH400's that I see in the registry. Can anyone who has seen these two cars confirm that?

Re: Who knows where this 69 Yenko Chevelle ended up??
Mrays is correct, Norman's old car was from Muscatel B407566 and the Legendary car was from Nankivell B407636.
