Yes you are right... Everybody here likely knows what VIN means.

I used it in context the same way as historically GM used it (#) as an identifier for the dealers or alternately called it the &quot;serial number&quot; at the assembly level.

Agreed.
Just let the car be what it is, and let it sell on its own merits.
It's not like you're buying Jon Voight's LeBaron, right?

And I also agree on the vin terminology. It is one of my pet peeves to refer to the &quot;vehicle identification numer number&quot;.

Not sure how that's relevant here. That's relevant within a day, not months.
O8D is nowhere near the end of production.
