Re: Alabama Deuce

I was born and raised in Albertville.I called the guy that used to work for me tonight and he said that his Aunt sold the car and it was also a Black car. He said he thought the car was an automatic. Story was that Porter wrecked his Corvette and this guys uncle drove a truck for him and got the motor from him in like 1973. Was this car still in Albertville? I have a friend whose father in law has a 1970 Nova SS 396/375 that he bought new. He sold it in 1985 and bought it back a few years later. He wont let anybody even look at it. Anyway, it just goes to show you that they are still out there.

I got to see Jim Hanke (Wheel hop) last week when he picked the car up and I want to say it was good to see him again. I met Jim a few years ago when he came through my stompin grounds. Jim sure was Smiling while showing off pictures of his new Daughter . I wish we'd had more time but Chi-Town is a long drive from Sand Mountain Alabama.Wheel hop is good people

Tommy,
thanks again for your help in loading up the Alabama Deuce and making sure all the parts were there! Next time I come through Alabama I'll make sure I have more time to drink some sweet tea with you!

Sounds like a good opportunity to post a pic of my daughter.

Who want's to see this one at MCACN in the Barn Finds/Hidden Gems area?

(insert peer-pressure)

If this happens, we'd be hosting "a pair of Deuces" over there!
