Re: Plowman's old scans and pics
Ray never ran a bracket car. He quit I believe after the 55 Chevy days. I would say he would be about 68 or so today.

Re: Plowman's old scans and pics
My pop corrected me, the guy I posted Ron Schoor had a Shell station at Fitzwatertown and Welsh Rd. Near the Dunkin Donuts that is there today. This is just up the road from Ron Ruth- known for his 62 "Get Around" 409- another fellow from the Vargo Days.
Strange how similar they names were in the same area and around the same time. The "Get Around" http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w.../GetAround.jpg |
Re: Plowman's old scans and pics
I remember Get-a-Round at Vargo. Shame Ronnie Ruth is not with us anymore. That car did a lot of hoping around with that suspension. Probably would have went faster if he controlled the rear hop some. Car did run well though.

I checked that car out at the Hatboro car show in july. He willed it to his Grandaughter who displayed it proudly. Great car.

Re: Plowman's old scans and pics
I'll have to find some better pictures of my Mom's 1972 Vega GT, but if you look past all of us it's there.
http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...xTx/VegaGT.jpg We would climb all over everyting that was in the driveway and there was a lot of cars that passed through. Here is the one of the early "Plowman" rigs circa maybe 1979. Funny how 15 years later guys I grew up wiht were telling me they always wanted a tuck like my dad's black 1977 Ford. This was before "Bigfoot" hit the scene. http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...PxTx/F2603.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...PxTx/F2602.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...PxTx/F2601.jpg I spy the Vega in the last one. |

Re: Plowman's old scans and pics
We've been trying to get together for a few months now, and this week was good for both Dave Moran "67 Nova Boy" and I to meet up with the Grump. Thought some of you might like to see that things are still going strong in Malvern.
http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...umpyDay142.jpg It was pretty cool for Grump to come out in the cold- it was actually snowing- and talk to Dave about some upcomming motor work. http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...umpyDay143.jpg I also couldn't leave without revisiting an old conversation we've had on these old Tunnel Rams and some tricks- more to come later! http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...umpyDay153.jpg You can see a bit of the shop, but don't want to broadcast all the "stuff" on benches. http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...umpyDay164.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...umpyDay167.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/w...umpyDay172.jpg |
