My company I work for...We use all types of ACID to bring out heat patterns of bolts and was thinking that it might work on bringing out the VINS.on my block.

BTW, as a machinist do you have access to a magnaflux machine? There is a non-destructive method to see the numbers with a magnafluxer.

I think we do?? But there would be no way for me to bring it in to the plant. We have this "NO" government jobs allowed! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif The managers ruined that one for us. But will look into the acid method or the kits you have listed.
