Re: How rare is a 69 Camaro Rosewood radio delete
Almost all of the 69 Camaros were ordered with the extremely popular "COPO delete" option.

Re: How rare is a 69 Camaro Rosewood radio delete ???
[ QUOTE ]
I knew a guy that went into a chevy dealer and found(bought) literally hundreds of radio-block off plates that had been removed from cars and just stored for many years. Apparently this dealer ordered all his cars w/o radios and installed radios themselves after the cars were delivered. [/ QUOTE ] I believe that is where most of these "delete" plates come from. I've seen a lot of original paperwork where the radio is priced out on the dealer order form and invoice, but the radio is not on the window sticker. (my own '62 is an example). Apparently, the dealers could make more profit by installing it themselves rather than just getting the mark-up on the option cost. Verne https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |
Re: How rare is a 69 Camaro Rosewood radio delete ???
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't each dealer get a required initial accessory shipment form the General every year?? If that was the case it made more sense to install the radio's that they had to buy instead of ordering them in the car???
