If I recall correctly,Chris Shorts JD/Yenko Chevelle has "427" written in grease pencil on the fiberglass ft. bumper filler on the driver side.

One would think the # was the rotation #, but I've only seen 2-digit numbers on the heater box. Rotation #'s went a lot higher than that.....

Good point Kurt. I have also seen the heater box # in red crayon. Might it be a vendor mark https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I received the pics of the car from the original owner. Taken when it had 25 miles on it. Also one taken in summer of 1970 (car got a little racier!). Can one of you gurus help me post them (files too large)? Also got notarized statements from both the original owner and the dealership manager who ordered the car (he only ordered one RS car -Ewing Chevrolet). They both state: RS, 9561, Sportscar package, liquid tire chain, console, gages, M21, X11, Z23, AO1, rear speaker ...
