Same deal for me when I drove from NJ to college in Daytona '69-'71, either in a '62 convertible, '69 Roadrunner or a '70 MG Midget. Verne |

The last Muscle Car to use Redline tires was the 1970 Buick Grand Sport. They were standard equipment. |

When restoring a 1970 Superbird, if you have to replace the headlite cover applicates you are supposed to paint a 1" flat black border around the headlite cover because the reproduction ones are smaller than what the factory used. |

It's a very rare 1967 GTA 289 HiPo Mustang Fastback with the Competition Handling Package which included the 15" Galaxie wheel covers as Ford did not have a 15" "road wheel" back in 1967. This was a very expensive car back in 1967. Base price was $2,592.17. Then you add $205.05 for the GT option, $433.55 for the 289 HiPo engine, $220.17 for the auto trans, $388.53 for the Competition Handling Package, Power front disc brakes: $64.77, Power steering: $84.47 and $57.51 for an AM radio. That totals $4,046.22 |

PINK!! Probably shot with a polarizing filter. They tend to make colors very vivid. |

http://s18.postimg.cc/rdkxavwvd/image.jpg If you look at the W32 under "mandatory options" they list "Fiberglas belted tires P-81." I can't find a description for RPO P81: https://i.postimg.cc/rpBSPb2n/screenshot-7643.png https://i.postimg.cc/4dpzk5JJ/screenshot-7644.png http://automotivemileposts.com/oldsmobile/rpocodes.html Not here either: https://i.postimg.cc/xjyK6tx5/screenshot-7645.png http://www.ultra-high-compression.co...slistpage.html Anyone know what it is? Maybe fiberglass belted red-line tires? Seems to be unique to the 1969 W32 442. |

Only the first 100 1966 Shelby GT 350H Hertz Rent-A-Racers had a 4 speed transmission. After having to replace the clutch in many of them, shortly after delivery, Ford and Hertz decided to go with the Auto trans instead. |

This was the first public (in the media) use of the term; "Muscle Car." Previous to this Hot Rod issue they were called Super Cars or Hi Performance Cars. |
