I went to GMI with Kris Heberling. His dad, George Heberling, was the Asst Staff Engineer of the Engineering/Assembly Liaison group* for St Louis Corvette Production.

He drove one of the ZL1 cars as his assigned company owned vehicle. I don't think it was this one; I think it was the other (white?) car.

----This ZL1 yellow car was bought by Roger Judski out of that auction, I believe. Have known Roger for around 40 years, and he's been selling Corvttes throughout that period just outside Orlando. Great guy!....Bill S

Roger had been trying to buy the yellow ZL-1 for years before the 1991 auction,where he then paid what was considered a stunningly huge amount of money for it,$300,000.

Duel! Man, I remember being freaked out by that movie when I was a kid. Made me leery of large trucks growing up, lol.
