Chuck's family owned a trucking company. When he shifted a manual - he didn't use the clutch - and never had an issue.

I remember seeing him do it for the first time in a 1969 442. To say he had "balls" was an understatement.

I was there!!!
I escaped Camp Pendelton on a weekend pass and took the bus to Pomona. The original concept of Pro Stock was just the perfect race car to me and I was wowed by all the big names including Landy's 16 plug Hemi. But of course Grumpy's Camaro was my favorite! - Bill W
