1972 Road Runner. Chrysler stopped using those wheels after the 1968 model year and 1969 was the last year for redlines. Easily fixed.

Isn't that grille emblem wrong too?

This is not true. I had a 69 Roadrunner with ac back in the mid 70's and it was indeed orange. And the original engine

In 1969, Chrysler painted their engines two different colors depending whether they were high performance (Orange) or low performance (Turquoise). Order either a Road Runner or Super Bee and you got the HiPo 383/335 HP engine:

But . . . if you ordered AC, you got the LP 383/330 HP engine. In this case your engine would be painted Turquoise not Orange like this Super Bee with AC:

This Road Runner (Convertible) was ordered with Factory AC. It is NOT the correct color. Should be Turquoise not Orange:

It's supposed to be TURQUOISE as the 383/330 HP engine was not considered a high performance engine. The fact that yours was ORANGE - well mistakes were always made on the assembly line.

Did you hear of the Jim Taylor collection coming to auction this October? It's got some rare stuff, like a real factory race '55 Type D Jag that wasn't raced, and an unrestored '64 Cobra 289, and a '67 427 Cobra with only 8k miles
