They use pink lemons to make pink lemonade right? Well . . . not really. But you can buy them. They are sweeter and less tart than regular lemons.

Has anyone ever seen a real 1966 L79 4 Dr. Chevy II? This one is not real. According to the 1966 Chevrolet brochure it says the L79 was available on "all models" with either a 3 or 4 speed manual.

seen a couple of L79 station wagons...

Lynn 02-25-2020 08:12 PM

There were multiple L79 station wagons ordered by either ONG (Oklahoma Natural Gas) or OG&E (Oklahoma Gas and Electric) can't remember which. The guy in charge of fleet buying must have been a motorhead, or just didn't know what he was doing.

Can't remember, but seems like the order was for 13 cars. Being company cars, I am sure they were rode hard and put up wet.

This picture should look familiar as I posted it a while ago. What I didn't know at the time was who painted it: Chesley Bonestell a famous astronomical painter from the 1950's. His art hangs in the National Air & Space Museum. Bonestell also helped design the Golden Gate Bridge and the Chrysler Building. He also did all the solar system matte paintings at the beginning of the 1953 movie THE WAR OF THE WORLDS

That is one example why the "engineers" should have the maintainers/mechanics sitting off to their shoulder when designing something ... TAZ

Was just reading an article on seafood shacks and this one popped up: Browns in NH. I remember eating there a couple of times; once when in college and another time when I lived in Framingham MA. The food was cheap and really good. I had never been to a place that was bring-your-own-booze before.

Ford introduced the first-generation Bronco in 1966. The line-up included three variants that shared the same boxy, utilitarian design. The Roadster came without doors; Ford presented it as the Mustang’s four-wheel drive stablemate, hence the Bronco name.

The market started off well - up over 400 points. Unfortunately the rally didn't last long.
